舊約的神是耶和華拉法，“我耶和華是醫治你的”。
他又說：“你若留意聽耶和華你神的話，又行我眼中看為正的事，留心聽我的誡命，守我一切的律例，我就不將所加與埃及人的疾病加在你身上，因為我耶和華是醫治你的。”

耶和華—耶穌是那醫治者
到了晚上，有人帶着許多被鬼附的，來到耶穌跟前，他只用一句話，就把鬼都趕出去。並且治好了一切有病的人。這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，說：“他代替我們的軟弱，擔當我們的疾病。”
馬太福音 8:16,17
